Peach Bowl

Head Coach - NC State: 1986-1992

During his seven-year tenure in the head job at NC State, Sheridan coached the Wolfpack to six bowl berths, including three trips to the Peach Bowl. In the 1988 game, his squad picked up their eighth win in impressive fashion, toppling Iowa and fellow head coaching legend Hayden Fry. During the 1986 season, Sheridan was named the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year as well as the ACC Coach of the Year. He was inducted into the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 2020.
