Bobby Bowden

Peach Bowl Hall of Fame

Head Coach - West Virginia: 1970-1975
Head Coach - Florida State: 1976-2009

A legend among the ranks of college football head coaches, Bowden coached in three Peach Bowls, twice with West Virginia in 1972 and 1975, and once with Florida State in 1983. His Mountaineers took a beating at the hands of fellow Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz and NC State in 1972, but got their revenge on the Wolfpack in 1975. The 1983 game marked the lone Peach Bowl appearance of his 30+ year tenure at Florida State, and it was a memorable one. His Seminoles toppled future conference foe North Carolina, 28-3 to cap off an eight-win season. During his time at Florida State, he was twice a National Champion and once the recipient of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award. Bowden was inducted into the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
