Peach Bowl

Head Coach - Virginia Tech: 1987-2015

Across one of the longest single-team tenures in college football history, Beamer's teams appeared in two Peach Bowls across nearly 40 seasons in Blacksburg. After being upset by unranked Georgia in the 2006 edition of the game, Beamer returned with the Hokies in 2009 to capture his first and only Peach Bowl victory, 37-14 over Tennessee. A former player at Tech, Beamer has his jersey retired by the program and was inducted into the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
