Peach Bowl

Quarterback - North Carolina: 1969-1971
Athletic Director - North Carolina: 1980-1997
Commissioner - Atlantic Coast Conference: 1997-2021

Few have seen the Peach Bowl from as many different perspectives as Swofford, who played in the 1973 Peach Bowl with North Carolina, accompanied the Tar Heels to the 1983 and 1993 games, and continued to build the relationship between the bowl and the ACC as conference commissioner. He was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
