Peach Bowl

Linebacker - Baylor: 1977-1980

The 1979 season, which saw Singletary win the first of two consecutive SWC Defensive Player of the Year awards and his first consensus All-America selection, ended in a 24-18 Baylor win over Clemson in the Peach Bowl. Following a professional career that saw him become a Super Bowl champion, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and an eight-time All-Pro, Singletary was inducted into the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998.
