Margie Lane

Biography

Margie Lane joined the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl as a volunteer in 1984 after being encouraged by a friend. She spent her first year volunteering in the hospitality suites. The following year she was nominated by the couple she had previously volunteered under to serve as a hospitality suite coordinator. As a hospitality suite coordinator, Lane has been a key factor in making the Bowl’s hospitality program one of the hallmarks of the Bowl’s reputation. For her top-notch customer service skills, Lane was awarded the C.A.R.E. award in 2012. C.A.R.E stands for: customer first, attitude, relationships and excellence.

Born and raised in Cumberland, Rhode Island, Lane moved to Georgia in 1972. In 1977 she graduated from Kennesaw State University with an associate degree in nursing. She went back to school at Georgia State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1979. Lane has three sons.
