Running Back - NC State: 1975-1978
Making two trips to Atlanta in the span of three years, Brown holds the unique distinction of having rushed for over 100 yards in multiple Peach Bowl games. In 1975, his Wolfpack lost a close one, 13-10 at the hands of West Virginia, despite 159 yards from Brown. In 1977, NC State got their redemption with a 24-14 victory over Indiana behind 114 rushing yards from their All-ACC running back. Brown was named all-conference in all four of his collegiate seasons, and earned consensus All-American honors in 1978. After his playing career ended, he had his No. 23 jersey retired by NC State and was inducted into the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.Â
