Cornerback - Georgia: 1996-1998
Capping off a legendary final season at Georgia, Bailey led the Bulldogs to an upset victory over No. 12 Virginia, 35-33 in the 1998 Peach Bowl. Bailey, who also caught a touchdown pass on the offensive side of the ball, earned Defensive MVP honors in the victory. His 1998 season saw him named Consensus All-American along with the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. After leaving Georgia, Bailey went on to enjoy an equally legendary professional career, during which he was selected to 12 Pro Bowls and set the NFL record for passes defended in a career. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019 and the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in 2022.Â
