Coaching Career: 30 seasons – 170-151-8 (.529)…Spent 21 years as head coach of Baylor…Is the longest tenured coach in Baylor history and is the only coach with 100+ wins at Baylor…Won two Southwest Conference championships and eight bowl games…18 players earned All-America status, including five that were consensus All-Americans…Coached Chick-fil-A Bowl Hall of Fame member Mike Singletary…Named AFCA National Coach of the Year in 1974…2006 recipient of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award…Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001…Was a 1995 Texas Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
