Leeman Bennet has been serving the bowl since 1987, when he became chairman of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl team selection and ambassadors committee, a role he still serves in today. In 1998, he joined the Peach Bowl executive committee and became an even more influential member of the organization as a whole. The experience there eventually led him to the position of chairman, a role in which he served two terms from 2004-2006. He continues to be a dedicated leader for the bowl, helping to usher it into new heights. In 2015, he was inducted into the Chcik-fil-A Peach Bowl Volunteer Hall of Fame.
